The Brownie Cup was donated by Barry Brownie in 2002 for match play competition between teams from clubs belonging to the Canterbury Central Golf Sub-Association. This competition is for intermediate players between the Canterbury Central Shield and the Patterson Cup competitions.
Clubs belonging to the Canterbury Central area are: Akaroa, Burnham, Charteris Bay, Ellesmere, Greendale, Hororata, Kaituna, Lincoln, Tai Tapu and Weedons.
