While the Canterbury Women's Team was announced as the winner of the Canterbury Sports Team of the Year, four members of the team were in Dunedin competing at the South Island Stroke Play played at the St Clair Golf Club.

The Canterbury trio of Juliana Hung, Tom Parker and Matt McLean have just completed a trip of a lifetime after travelling to China to compete at the Faldo Series Asia Grand Final played at Mission Hills. All three booked their spot in the field after winning their respective age categories at the New Zealand event played at the Clearwater Golf Club in January. The New Zealand event and trip to China was made possible through the contribution of the Canterbury Golf Development Trust.

The Flexi Lease Canterbury Women's Team have topped off a great 2015 year by taking out the prestigious Canterbury Team of the Year Award at the Marriotts Hadlee Sports Awards. A remarkable achievement for the Canterbury Women's Team, whose average age was 16, to win the NZ Women's Interprovincial at the Ashburton Golf Club in December.

Canterbury Golf's Captains Day Tournament was held at Rangiora on Friday in warm weather and excellent conditions. The host Club Captains Steve Jones and Vivienne Taylor showed local knowledge has its advantages winning the Captains Day Trophy with a combined stableford score of 76 points with Steve, 41 and Vivienne, 35.
