It was a strong performance on day 2 of the NZ Women's Interprovincial being played this week at Waitikiri Golf Club with Canterbury remaining unbeaten through their first three matches.
In round 3 Canterbury had a tight tussle against Manawatu-Wanganui who were also unbeaten. Down the home stretch the Canterbury Women's Team took control with Amy Weng securing the first point with a 4/3 win. Olive Tapu fought back strongly with a birdie on the 8th hole (her 17th hole) and get back to square before winning the par 3 9th to win her match against Lisa Herbert 1 up. Canterbury's Captain Catherine Bell was also steady winning her match 3/1 with Hillary O'Connor finishing with a half. Canterbury number one Juliana Hung was fighting back for her team finishing on the last hole 2 down. The team secured the win 3.5-1.5 games.
Canterbury led from the front in the round 4 match against Taranaki with dominant wins throughout the team for a 5-0 result.

The team now turn their focus to their Thursday morning match with a top of the table clash against Wellington teeing off from the first tee at 8.05am and then again in the afternoon against Waikato at 12.35pm from the 10th tee. The team would welcome support at Waitikiri Golf Club for this national event.
