A fine sunny day greeted players at Russley yesterday and after a short frost delay provided ideal conditions for the fourth round of Pollock Cup.
Both Christchurch and Pegasus continued their superior form with convincing 6-0 wins over Waimairi Beach and Weedons respectively. For Christchurch, Catherine Bell, Olive Tapu, Melissa Newburn, Margaret-Mary Coughlan, Mel Brew and Robyn Gillespie had wins while Hillary O'Connor, Danielle Price, Rion Ishizawa, Jessica Crosbie, Karen De Latour and Bobbi Oliver registered wins for Pegasus.
Waitikiri posted its first point on the table to halve with Harewood in a very close match. On the seventeenth hole of the crucial match between number one players Naomi Wallace and Catherine Knight, Wallace went 1 up after an errant chip by Knight. The final hole was then halved with pars giving Wallace the win and the 3-3 draw. For Waitikiri, Kim Moggach and Lynley Watts also had wins while Harewood's wins came courtesy of Debbie Scott, Lynn Brand and Pam McTaggart.
