The final round of Pollock Cup was held at Christchurch Golf Club yesterday with the semi-finalists now confirmed for Finals Day at Waimairi Beach on 1 October.
Russley have snuck into first place by half a point after their 3-1 victory over Waitikiri. Juliana Hung, Robyn Cruse and Amy Weng all had big wins for Russley, while Cheryl Kemp got the win for Waitikiri.
Russley were helped by the 2-2 draw between Christchurch and Harewood - they finished second and third on the ladder respectively. Christchurch No.1 Catherine Bell had a good win over Catherine Knight 2/1, and was backed up by Olive Tapu beating Anne Dick 3/2. However Harewood responded at the bottom of the order with wins to Jess Crosbie and Debbie Scott.
Clearwater grabbed the fourth semi-final spot with a win over Pegasus 3.5-0.5. Amelia Garvey, Rachel Eder and Di Kay had good wins, with Lynn Brand getting a half.

The Merle Barley Salver was presented to the player with the best individual record. This was won by Christchurch's Olive Tapu who was unbeaten through the round robin with five wins.
The semi-finals will see Russley play Clearwater, and Christchurch play Harewood.
