The Toro NZ Interprovincials are being this played in Northland this week with Sherwood Park Golf Club hosting the Women's event and Mangawhai Golf Club hosting the Men's event.
The Flexi Lease Canterbury Women's team suffered the lost of number one Amelia Garvey who was unavailable for selection due to a clash of events in Australia and the late withdrawal of Hillary O'Connor, which has meant there are four players on debut at this years event. Olive Tapu who was the travelling reserve in 2016 will be looking forward to stepping up to the number two position after gaining experience caddying last year, she will be joined by Jessica Crosbie, Maddie May and Amy Weng who will join the experienced team members Juliana Hung and Catherine Bell playing at number one and three respectively.
The Canterbury Women's Team play Southland in their first round match before their bye in the afternoon.

The Fenix Canterbury Men's team will be looking to improve on their seventh-place last year and have the team to do it with New Zealand Amateur finalist Tom Parker leading the team in the number one position along with the experience of Matt McLean and Hiroki Miya who played in the team in 2016. Reid Hilton will be looking forward to playing in the team after supporting the team in the travelling reserve position in 2016 along with Dominic Brettkelly who is on debut at number five and Richard Reed as the reserve players.
The Canterbury Men's Team play North Harbour in their opening match which starts on Tuesday followed by Taranaki in the afternoon.
