Waimairi Beach Golf Club
Founded in 1932 the Waimairi Beach Golf Club celebrated its 75th Jubilee in February 2007. To mark the occasion specially monogrammed shirts and wine glasses were produced and a book "75 Years at Waimairi" was published. All these items are still available for sale.
Waimairi is one of the few clubs which actually "owns" its own course, having been freeholded in 1999.
Sharpies Golf Superstore operate a Pro Shop on course and a resident professional is available for lessons.
Waimairi is renowned for its pine trees, slick greens and its friendly atmosphere.
Full subscriptions at present are $648.00 per annum with various other options available, including summer Membership and Nine Hole Men and Ladies. Match days are Tuesday and Saturday for Ladies and Wednesday and Saturday for Men. There are no match fees charged as these are included in subscriptions. A 12 hole twilight competition is run each Friday during daylight saving hours commencing at 3.30pm. Current green fees are $30.00 (non affiliated) and $25 (affiliated).
HOWEVER FROM THE 1ST JUNE TO 31ST AUGUST THERE IS A SPECIAL RATE OF $20.00 ON MONDAY, TUESDAY AND THURSDAY AFTERNOONS AFTER 12.30 PM.
