Junior Team Foursomes Winners15th July 2008 The Coringa C team of Moon Hak Lee, Louise Gebbie (Absent from photo), Fiona Gebbie, Jarrod Satherley, Paul Gebbie & team advisor Malcolm Gebbie were the overall winners of the Junior Team Foursomes Competition with an aggregate score of 234. The competition was reduced to 3 rounds due to wet weather on July 6th. The final round (a four ball, best ball, stableford aggregate) at Harewood on July 13th produced some very good scores. Junior Team Foursomes Runners Up15th July 2008 The Russley A team of Anthony Weatherhead, Brittany Macdonald, Andrew Weatherhead, Kelly Macdonald & team advisor Gary McAuley were the runners up in the Junior Team Foursomes Competition with an aggregate score of 231. Representative Selectors and Managers Named15 July 2008The Canterbury Representative Golf Selectors and Managers have been named and confirmed by the CGI Management Committee. The appointments of all Selectors and Managers are for a two year term (July 2008 – June 2010).

The Richards Trophy is played for between the winners of the Metro A competition (Coringa) and the winners of the Templeton Cup (Rangiora D). The winning team (pictured) was J Woods, J Day, G McMaiter, K McFarlane, J G Watkin, D Millar, K Sunckell & D Cottrell.
Cresswell Cup Result13 July 2008 Weedons beat Coringa in the Cresswell Cup at Hagley Golf Club on Sunday 13 July. The result was 6 matches to 2.
The Cresswell Cup is played for between the winners of the Metro B competition (Coringa) and the winners of the Patterson Cup (Weedons). The winning team (pictured) was Dave Stubbs, Colin Ellison, Mike Prendergast, Terry Sullivan, John O'Connor, Brian Wooller, Dave Butts & Tony Counter.
Canterbury North Mixed Foursomes Gross9th July 2008 The Canterbury North Mixed Foursomes recently held at Hawarden were played in mild conditions and a great day was had. Winners of the Gross (Pictured) were G Ramsay and Mrs M McKay with M Walker and Mrs R Cassidy runners up. Canterbury North Mixed Foursomes Net9th July 2008 The winners of the Canterbury North Mixed Foursomes net prize were Mr and Mrs R J Sowden (Pictured) who obviously enjoyed their day. Town & Country Teams Named3 July 2008The teams for the upcoming Town v Country fixture have been named, and are as follows. The fixture has been an annual event on the CGI Men's Programme, and the equivalent CGI Women's fixture has been added for 2008. The fixture will be played at Ellesmere Golf Club on Sunday 13 July, and the format will be reverse singles in the morning (8am start), and singles in the afternoon (1pm start).

Patterson Cup Final24th June 2008Weedons A defeated Lincoln A in the final of the Patterson Cup. The matches were tied at 4 all after regulation play and Weedons A won after a play off. The Selwyn Allstars defeated the Peninsula Allstars 4½ - 3½ in their decider.
