Canterbury Team Finish Third

30 October 2006

Quaranguler Tournament - Nelson Golf Club

The Canterbury Senior Men’s Team finished a disappointing third at the Quadrangular Tournament over the weekend. It was a wake up call for the team only five weeks out from the Lion Foundation Interprovincial to be played in Timaru. Individually Nic Fry, Willie Moore, Brad Stuart, and Dean Cameron preformed well.

The Lion Foundation 5 man team (plus reserve) will be named after the final 36 hole matchplay trial to be played at the Timaru Golf Club on 12 November. It is fair to say players will need to perform with a number of positions up for grabs.

Quadrangular Final Standings:

1st Wellington
2nd North Harbour
3rd Canterbury
4th Tasman
