CGI Tour - Order of Merit 2012/2013
There are four sections in the CGI Tour - Order of Merit
CGI Tour Women
CGI Tour Men
CGI Tour Women’s Masters
CGI Tour Men’s Masters
Category 1 - points awarded to the top 20 men and 15 women
Category 2 - points awarded to the top 15 men and 10 women
Category 3 - points awarded for quarter finalists, semi finalists, runner up and winner.
The top 20 amateurs will be awarded points in the Charles Tour John Steel Harewood Open event.
Men's & Women's Masters
Category 1 & 2 - The highest Canterbury masters men and masters women will receive ranking points in each tournament. Players must be 40 plus as at the date of the first event on the CGI Tour.
Category 3 - Masters players will receive points for semi finals, runner up and winner.
If players are tied the points will be shared, no countback. Points will be rounded to two decimal points.
Conditions
All players are eligible to play on the CGI Tour, provided they are eligible and available to play for Canterbury under the regulations laid down by Canterbury Golf.
Should any CGI Tour winner move out of the province during the year the balance of the unused trust money will be retained by Canterbury Golf to use at their discretion.
A final round Tour Championship will be held at Clearwater on 21 April teeing off at 12pm for the top 8 Men, 8 Women and 4 Mens and Womens Masters to determine the overall CGI Tour winners.
CGI Tour - Women's Order of Merit Events
There are 10 events scheduled for Women, the top 6 tournaments will count. The player’s points will be divided by 6 to give the player’s CGI Tour Order of Merit Ranking Average. If for example an individual only wants to play in 4 events their total number of points will still be divided by 6.
At the end of the tour the Women’s CGI Tour Order of Merit winners and runner ups will receive a trust fund to be administered by CGI to be used for professional coaching services or tournament assistance. Trust funds amounts are as follows:
Women’s CGI Tour Winner $1,000
Women’s CGI Tour Runner Up $500
Women’s Masters CGI Tour Winner $500
CGI Tour - Men's Order of Merit Events
There are 13 events scheduled for Men, the top 7 tournaments will count. The player’s points will be divided by 7 to give the player’s CGI Tour Order of Merit Ranking Average. If for example an individual only wants to play in 4 events their total number of points will still be divided by 7.
At the end of the tour the Men’s CGI Tour Order of Merit winners and runner ups will receive a trust fund to be administered by CGI to be used for professional coaching services or tournament assistance. Trust funds amounts are as follows:
