
Information and How to Apply
IGQ Golf College is located at Coringa Golf Club and provides NZQA approved diploma courses in golf coaching and tournament golf.
In 2011 they are offering a scholarship valued at $30,000 for the first year. The scholarship may be awarded for a second subsequent year if exemplary results and performance are achieved in the first year.
The scholarship is available to residents or non-residents who have performed with merit in CGI Tour events and are highly place in the Vardon Trophy (men) or Liz Douglas Trophy (women) standings. If you are from outside Canterbury you may apply but you must be prepared to relocate to Christchurch.
The diploma courses offered are intensive two year courses of 45 weeks per year, and 40 hours per week.
The recipient will be on a low single figure handicap and show potential to achieve higher honours. They will also be require to:
- be available for selection for Canterbury representative teams.
- be available to compete in CGI Tour events.
- compete in other tournaments as directed by IGQ.
- adhere to the Canterbury Golf Code of Conduct.
- follow IGQ disciplines.
- be motivated to higher achievements in the golf industry.
