Golf Club Junior Programmes
Many of our golf clubs in Canterbury offer quality junior programmes with regular coaching, with both playing and practising opportunities. For more information on a club near you contact rachel@canterburygolf.co.nz.
Interclub Competitions
Canterbury Golf runs two junior interclub competitions for our up and coming juniors. The first is run at the start of the year, there are two section gross and handicap matchplay with 4 people in each team. The second competition is a foursomes competition played in the spring also with 4 people in the team representing the club.
Junior Tournaments
Canterbury Golf run junior tournaments for players with handicaps in each of the school holidays. This is a great opportunity to play other golf courses and gain valuable experience playing with other juniors. There are also a couple of clubs that also run open junior tournaments. Results from these tournaments contribute to the Heller Junior Order of Merit.
