Lincoln University Golf Scholarship Overview
The Lincoln University Golf Scholarship Programme is a joint venture between Lincoln University, Canterbury Golf, New Zealand Golf through the Sir Bob Charles Foundation.
Golf Scholarship recipients have their academic tuition fees covered by the scholarship provided they continue to perform both academically, and on the golf course. Scholars also benefit from superb training facilities, world class strength & conditioning specialists, as well as getting to work with some of the top coaches, nutritionists, and sports psychologists in the Canterbury Region.
The programme is also very fortunate to have the services of Sir Bob Charles with Sir Bob kindly offering to act as a mentor to Golf Scholars, as well as some of Canterbury’s previous top representative golfers.
Scholars get to train with like minded students who are motivated to succeed both academically and in their chosen sport. We have found that students succeeding in one area also excel in the other as their work ethic is applied to both their studies and their training. The University also recognises that when a student begins to achieve their goals regionally and nationally, that they will require some flexibility in their studies.
We encourage any golfer with aspirations of realising their full golfing and academic potential to apply for a Lincoln University Golf Scholarship.
