Hellers Junior Order of Merit 2011/12
Players will earn points from the junior tournaments listed based on their tournament placing. Placings will be determined by count back where necessary. Each tournament has a category ranking and tournament placing points are listed below.
There will be three sections for the Junior Order of Merit and ages will be taken as at 20 July 2011:
• Girls Under 16
• Boys Under 13
• Boys Under 16
There are 11 events scheduled, the top 8 tournament scores will count. The player’s points will then be divided by 8 to give the player’s Junior Order of Merit Ranking Average. If for example an individual only wants to play in 4 events their total number of points will still be divided by 8.
At the end of the Hellers Junior Order of Merit Championship, winners will be awarded with a trophy in each section and trust funds will be allocated to by administered by CGI to be used for coaching, equipment or tournament assistance over the following 12 months. Trust amounts are as follows:
Girls U16 Junior Order of Merit Winner $300 Girls U16 Junior Order of Merit Runner Up $200
Boys U13 Junior Order of Merit Winner $300 Boys U13 Junior Order of Merit Runner Up $200
Boys U16 Junior Order of Merit Winner $300 Boys U16 Junior Order of Merit Runner Up $200
Ranking Points
Players will be awarded points from the above tournaments which are determined by their placing and category of the event.
U16 Girls - Top 10 Canterbury girls will receive points from each event
U13 Boys - Top 15 Canterbury boys will receive points from each event
U16 Boys - Top 20 Canterbury boys will receive points from each event
