Our business history started in February 1985 when Todd Heller, a fourth generation butcher, purchased a retail butchery shop in New Brighton, Christchurch. In 1990, the business started supplying their specialty sausages to the supermarkets and in 1993 moved into their meat processing plant at Kaiapoi. Today Heller Tasty’s over 300 staff can produce, at peak, up to 240 tonnes of sausages a week, including 80 different types of sausages and saveloys, along with bacon, ham and other service deli small goods.
