Womens Ringers Tournament Winners 2023 Harewood LR The Canterbury Golf Women's Ringers Tournament was held at McLeans Island Golf Club yesterday in fine, warm conditions with the course in great order. Fiona Nicholls (left) and Denise Curry from Harewood were the 18 Hole Ringers Champions with a combined stableford points total of 75, while Jocelyn Chambers from Greendale took out the 9 Hole Ringers competition with 22 points.Apart from Fiona and Denise's combined total of 75 points being five points clear of their opponents, scoring was very close across both competitions with multiple countbacks required to decide final placings. 18 Hole Ringers1st - Fiona Nicholls & Denise Curry (Harewood),...

Canterbury Central Masters Semi-Finalists Confirmed

Canterbury Central Masters MVP Harkerss Tankard Winner 2023 Steve Adams LR After recent postponements to the Canterbury Central Masters Interclub competition, the Final round of round robin was played on Sunday at Ellesmere in warm, sunny conditions with the course in great order. It was also the final opportunity for players to stake their claim as the competitions MVP and be awarded the Harkerss Tankard, which is kindly donated by Joanne and Barry Harkerss. 20231126 150318 RS The 2023 Pollock Cup Final was played at Clearwater Golf Club yesterday with the top seeds from the regular season Waimairi Beach taking on 2nd seed Christchurch Golf Club. The beachside club Waimairi had enjoyed a very strong season with a team containing a good blend of top young players such as Aroha Minhinnick, Zaria Bourne, and Deanna Matthews alongside experienced heads such as Angela Gerkin and Lyn Robertson and Fetoni Humm which served them well throughout the regular season where they went 5 from 5 before overcoming Russley in a tight fixture in the semi’s. IMG 4797 RS The 2023 edition of the NZ Freyberg Masters was played last week at the Poverty Bay Golf Club in Gisborne. The Canterbury team featured a familiar lineup with just one addition to the squad in Andrew Green who was selected to play at the number 1 spot. CHCH rs2 The 2023 edition of the Men’s Interclub Finals Day took place on Sunday at Pegasus Golf Club in very hot spring conditions. With a total of 120 players across 16 teams and four different competitions all culminating together, it was always going to be a very busy semi-final morning plays before the eventual respective competition finalists were found. Junior Foursomes 2023 9 Hole Cropped LR2 The Final Round of the 4 week junior foursomes was concluded on Sunday at Russley Golf Club. The Nine Hole competition had been a close tussle between Waimairi Beach and Weedons and entering the final round Waimairi had a 2 point lead. However the Weedons team had other ideas and emerged the winners of the competition by 3 points after the four ball best ball stableford with their pairing of Taine and Lianna contributing an impressive 21 points. Womens GSR Champions 2023 Rangiora Cropped2 The Women's Champion of Champions Tournament and Gross Stableford Rosebowl were held at Christchurch Golf Club yesterday in perfect summery conditions with the course in great order.
