A record 150 students have registered for next Monday’s Canterbury Secondary Schools events, which will for the first time will see two events played simultaneously across both Coringa Golf Club and McLeans Island Golf Club.
The strong turnout is fantastic to see and highlights the growing interest in golf among secondary school students across the region.

Today we celebrate the 90th birthday of our Patron, Sir Bob Charles ⛳️❤️
Sir Bob’s contribution to golf in New Zealand is legendary - from becoming our first major champion at The Open in 1963 to a remarkable career spanning more than five decades and over 80 professional wins.
What continues to inspire us most is his enduring passion for the game. Sir Bob still supports golf across Canterbury and remains actively involved in events throughout the region.
And at 90 years young, Sir Bob still sets an impressive standard as demonstrated by his recent round as part of Canterbury Captains, Secretaries, and Captains Day where he shot a round 15 shots better than his current age!

February rounds are in for us and we’re slightly down on last month. We’re blaming the weather… did we even have a summer 🤷♂️
