Canterbury Golf is delighted to announce a new partnership with Trackman, the world leader in golf launch monitor and simulator technology, which will see Trackman become Canterbury Golf’s Official Launch Monitor & Simulator Technology Partner.
The partnership brings Trackman’s technology and expertise into a range of Canterbury Golf’s events, programmes and club initiatives, supporting the goals of our Strategic Plan 2026–2030.
Technology at our championships
Golfers competing at the Canterbury Stroke Play Championship, Canterbury 4BBB, Canterbury Match Play Championship and the new Canterbury Masters Stroke Play Championship can look forward to seeing Trackman technology in action, with a TM4 unit featuring during one round of each event. Keep an eye out for a “powered by Trackman” feature hole at upcoming championships.
Supporting our players
Trackman will also make its technology and expertise available to Canterbury Golf’s Representative, Talent Development and Emerging Player programmes. This could include benchmarking and testing days, along with education on what the key data parameters mean and how players can use that information to improve their game.
Growing the game
More and more people are discovering golf through simulator venues and indoor facilities, and Canterbury Golf is committed to building stronger connections between these venues and our affiliated clubs. As part of this, Canterbury Golf and Trackman will co-deliver at least one initiative at Trackman partner simulator facilities, such as experiences for newer golfers or a tournament series for established players. More details will be announced in the coming months.

Trackman will also contribute, where relevant, to Canterbury Golf workshops and club support initiatives around coaching technology, range technology, indoor golf and the changing ways people are accessing the game.

What they said
Canterbury Golf General Manager Blair Minton said the partnership was an exciting step for golf in the region.
Trackman is a name every golfer recognises, and we’re thrilled to welcome them as a partner. Their technology is used by the best players and coaches in the world, and this partnership means Canterbury golfers will experience it at our championships and within our player development programmes. Just as importantly, Trackman shares our view that simulator and indoor golf is a real opportunity to bring new people into the game, and we’re looking forward to working together to connect those golfers with our clubs.
Trackman New Zealand Sales Manager Shane Whooley said Trackman was proud to be supporting golf in Canterbury.
Canterbury Golf is one of the leading golf associations in New Zealand, and we’re excited to be partnering with an organisation that is so focused on growing the game and developing its players. Whether it’s helping a representative player understand their numbers or giving a newer golfer their first taste of the game in a simulator, we want to play our part in getting more people playing and enjoying golf across the region.
Canterbury Golf thanks Trackman for their support and looks forward to working together to grow and develop the game across Canterbury.
