The Women's Ringers Tournament sponsored by CRYSTALP Jewellery was played at Weedons Country Club yesterday in fine warm weather and the course in great order.
In the 18 Hole Competition Tai Tapu's Di Stalker and Carol Bates (pictured right), were too strong with 81 stableford points winning by seven points from Ellesmere's Heather McKimmie and Tracey Houston on 74 points with Harewood's Hyeza Kim and Marguerite Leitch third on 71 points. Di Stalker together with Greendale's Crisie Banks had the best individual scores of the day with 44 points.
In the 9 Hole Competition things were much closer with Christchurch's Wendy Hollyer winning with 19 points on a countback from Russley's Anne Marie Jordan. Third with 18 Points on a countback was Greendale's Joan Pascoe.
