The 2026 Life Members Tournament was held this year at Everglades Golf Club after Pauline Francis-Fox won last year’s event.
A course that not many of the field had played before, but a fantastic 9-hole challenge that is well worth a visit. The course was presented in excellent condition with tight fairways, true greens, and punishing rough. The afternoon tea provided was also very high quality.
This tournament is held in appreciation by Canterbury Golf to individual Club, and Canterbury Golf life members as a thank you and recognition for the work these people have contributed over the years.
Pauline and Everglades were wonderful and welcoming hosts with a prize table that has set a benchmark that we hope to see at next year’s tournament, which will be hosted at Avondale after Clare Hodges rose to victory with her 36 stableford points. Close behind were Bill Whelan (Ellesmere) 35 points, and Lynne Rattray (Bottle Lake) 34 points.
