James joined the Canterbury Golf Executive in 2021, before moving into the Vice President role in 2024, before eventually taking on the position of President in September 2026. This time on the Executive has given him a strong grounding in the Association’s governance and strategic direction. He brings considerable financial and business expertise to the role, having held several finance and commercial positions during his career. He is currently the Business Services Manager at Addington Raceway & Events Centre.
