- Promoter
The promoter of this raffle is Canterbury Golf Incorporated, a registered not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting and developing the game of golf across the Canterbury region.
- Purpose
All proceeds from the raffle will be used to support Canterbury Golf’s ongoing initiatives, including player development, community programs, and representative golf opportunities throughout the region.
- Eligibility
Entry is open to all New Zealand residents aged 18 years or over.
By purchasing a ticket, entrants agree to these Terms & Conditions.
- Tickets
Tickets are priced at $100 each.
A maximum of 1,000 tickets will be available for sale.
Each ticket purchased represents one entry into the draw.
Ticket sales will open on 12.00am 3 November 2025 and close at 11.59pm 31 January 2026.
Tickets are non-refundable once issued.
Tickets can only be purchased via the canterburygolf.co.nz website.
- How the Draw Works
A total of 15 winners will be randomly drawn.
Each ticket has an equal chance of winning every prize – once a ticket wins, it will be returned to the draw for the remaining prizes.
The draw will take place at the Canterbury Stroke Play prizegiving in February 2026.
The draw will be conducted under supervision to ensure fairness and transparency.
- Prizes
There are 15 prizes in total.
Prizes are non-exchangeable and not redeemable for cash.
In the event that a prize becomes unavailable, Canterbury Golf reserves the right to substitute it with a prize of equal or greater value.
- Notification of Winners
Winners will be announced at the Canterbury Golf Stroke Play competition prizegiving on 1 February 2026, as well as public notice when published in the NZ Herald on 4 February 2026.
If the winner is not present at the prizegiving, they will be contacted via the details provided at the time of ticket purchase (phone and/or email).
If the winner cannot be identified or located, after a reasonable effort, and the prize remains unclaimed 3 months after the declaration of the result of the lottery, Canterbury Golf will notify the Secretary for Internal Affairs within 1 month. The prizes will then be disposed of according to the Secretary for Internal Affairs directions. Canterbury Golf will ensure that the prize is retained for 3 months after the draw.
Canterbury Golf may publish the names (and general locations) of prize winners for promotional purposes.
- Compliance
This raffle will be conducted in accordance with the Gambling Act 2003 and all relevant regulations governing class 3 gambling in New Zealand.
The raffle is conducted under the authority of Department of Internal Affairs New Zealand. License number LT090000885
- Privacy
Personal information collected during the raffle will be used solely for the purposes of administering the draw and notifying winners.
Canterbury Golf will not share entrant information with third parties, except as required by law.
- Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Canterbury Golf shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or injury suffered by any entrant or prize winner in connection with this raffle or any prize.
Entrants participate at their own risk.
