Rodney started at Canterbury Golf in April 2026 with 20 years of operational coordination and administration experience, combined with six years of golf governance service as a previous board member of Kaiapoi Golf Club, alongside representation on the North Canterbury committee. Professionally, Rodney’s career has centred around planning, scheduling, documentation management, and stakeholder communication, all of which have aided his current duties in respect to coordinating interclub competitions, managing the district calendar, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring smooth event delivery. Through Rodney’s golf governance experience, he has developed a strong understanding of the Canterbury Golf club scene, operations, interclub structures, committee processes, and the importance of clear communication between clubs and regional bodies. Representing and managing various Kaiapoi interclub teams has provided Rodney with the knowledge to liaise across clubs and contribute to structured discussions, whilst having a good understanding and foundation around competition set up and administration.

His role includes all organisational aspects of golf interclub, competitions and events, including:

• • Dealing with all general enquiries to Canterbury Golf.
  • Coordinating and managing all aspects of Canterbury Golf’s interclub competitions and tournaments.
  • Collating and managing the Canterbury Golf Calendar of Events

Rodney is the friendly face that greets anyone visiting the Canterbury Golf office, and goes out of his way to ensure that all enquiries are dealt with in a friendly and efficient manner.
