The Canterbury Golf Presidents & Secretaries Day was held at Harewood Golf Club on Friday in warm, norwest conditions and the course in great order.
The event was well supported by Canterbury Club Presidents/Secretaries and Representatives together with Life Members, The Eagles Society, Canterbury Referees Assn, Convenors and the Canterbury Golf Executive. Players were also very fortunate to have the opportunity to speak with SIr Bob Charles who was present at the meal and prizegiving and very generously donated copies of his newly published biography as prizes to the winning President and Secretary. Players also received prize vouchers from Riccarton Park Golf Complex.
The Presidents Cup was won by Steve Kilpatrick, Russley with 38 Stableford points.(His third successive win in three appearances at the event)
The Secretaries Salver was won by Clare Pitt, Bottle Lake with 36 points.
Best Individual Stableford was won by Helen Lang, Scargill with 38 points.
The winning team of Sandra Best and Roger Stockton (Hanmer Springs), Clare Pitt and Simon Jones (Bottle Lake) won the Bamboozle Stableford competition with 109 points.
