Futures Girls Programme in Canterbury
Canterbury Golf with support from Golf New Zealand launched Futures Girls in the Canterbury region in Term 4 of 2020. Futures Girls is about creating a fun, safe and inclusive environment that supports the needs of girls getting started in golf. The aim is for Futures Girls to be more than just a golf experience, it is a community where girls can build friendships, feel supported and enjoy being physically active. With the financial support from Tu Manawa funding, learn and play programmes are being delivered by golf coaches at three golf clubs (Russley, Harewood and Waimari Beach) covering both Christchurch East and West.
