The Canterbury Golf 9 Hole Christmas Tournament was held at Russley Golf Club on Monday 11 December attracting 53 players. It was great to see a good response from players considering low entries in 2016 resulted in cancellation of the 9 hole tournament. Another hot day and some not so easy rough, tested the players at Russley.
Grade 1 - 1st Gross was won by Hiromi Ikehata (Methven) with a 46, Grade 2 - 1st Gross by Claire Ballantyne (Russley) on 52 and 1st Stableford in the Men's Grade was won by Mike Markilie (Methven) with 18 points on a countback from John Evans (Amberley).
The prize winners were treated to a prize table of hams and other Christmas goodies.
