The final round of Over 50's & 60's Interclub was played at Rangiora on Sunday in fine conditions. Christchurch comfortably won the Pirie Cup for the fifth consecutive year for Best Team Gross on 1410 from Tai Tapu on 1451. The Chamberlain Cup for Best Team Net was taken out by Tai Tapu, from left (Gary Welsh, Stu Berryman, Dan Cuisel & Wayne Clark) on 1295 with Weedons A runner-up on 1308.
The Best Team Net in Over 60's was won by Bottle Lake, from left (Kevin Grant, Paul Mottram, Roger Cunningham, Gordon Laurie, Bill Heggarty & Carl Sakofsky) on 1306 for the third consecutive year from Pegasus on 1320. The George Turner Trophy for Best Individual Gross over the competition was again won by Tala Natapu (Amberley) on 302 for the third year in a row from Charles Whitwham (Christchurch) on 317. The A M Pemberton Salver winner for the best 4 of 6 rounds less age in the Over 60's was Carl Sakofsky (Bottle Lake) on 219 giving him back to back wins from Stu Berryman (TaiTapu) and Peter Nicholl (Pegasus) both on 230.
