We are pleased to announce the following representative appointments.
Women’s Selectors & Management
We are fortunate to have the continued experience of Mel Brew (Convenor) and Robyn Gillespie from the Christchurch Golf Club to form the Women’s Selection panel. Both Mel and Robyn show a great passion for the Women’s representative programme and we are grateful to have their continued involvement for their fourth year in the role.
New appointments have been made to manage the Canterbury Women’s Team. Kate Turner (Waimairi Beach) has been appointed as the Team Manager taking over from Kate Johnstone, special mention to Kate who retired after five years of managing the team including taking them to the national title in 2015. Kate Turner brings a wealth of experience having previously been a Canterbury Women’s Selector, she has represented Canterbury at both a junior and senior level and is also set to represent Canterbury in the Women’s Masters team next week. Elisha Crosbie (Christchurch) has been appointed as Assistant Manager adding depth to the management team having represented Canterbury at seven NZ Toro Interprovincials and also managing the Canterbury Girls Interprovincial team for three years.
Men’s Selectors & Management
The Canterbury Men’s Selection panel has an experienced line up with the new appointment of Ian MacGillivray (Pegasus) joining Ian Donaldson (Waitikiri) and Gary McAuley (Russley). Ian MacGillivray has previously been a Canterbury Men’s Selector and coupled with his experience of both representing Canterbury and playing Woodward Cup will add further depth to the selection panel. Ian Donaldson (Convenor) along with Gary McAuley have also been appointed bringing considerable experience having now been in these roles for two years and five years respectively.
Murray Brown (Russley) has been appointed to continue as the Men’s Manager and will be looking to build on a positive performance from the Men’s Team in 2016. The Men’s Assistant Manager will be appointed in due course.
Kevin Moyle (Waitikiri) has been appointed to continue in his role as the Men’s Masters Manager, we are grateful for the leadership and support that Kevin brings to this role.
