After recent postponements to the Canterbury Central Masters Interclub competition, the Final round of round robin was played on Sunday at Ellesmere in warm, sunny conditions with the course in great order.
It was also the final opportunity for players to stake their claim as the competitions MVP and be awarded the Harkerss Tankard, which is kindly donated by Joanne and Barry Harkerss. There were a number of players still in the frame coming into the last round, however it was Steve Adams from Ellesmere who emerged as the winner, remaing unbeaten throughout the competition with four wins and a half from the five rounds. Steve is pictured above receiving the Harkerss Tankard from Barry Harkerss.
The Semi-Finalists were also confirmed on Sunday with Burnham to play Lincoln North, and Hororata Yellow to play Hororata Black on 10 December at Hororata at 9.00am.
The Final will be played at Ellesmere on 17 December also at 9.00am.
