The Canterbury Golf 9 Hole Christmas Tournament was held at McLeans Island Golf Club this morning in cool, drizzly conditions with the course in great order.
Fifty one 9 Hole golfers braved the cool conditions and enjoyed the festive occasion and McLeans Island's hospitality with the following results:
Women Grade 1
Best Gross - Hiromi Ikehata (Methven) 46
Best Net - Janet Harland (Coringa) 35
Best Stableford - Claire Ballantyne (Russley) 15 pts
Women Grade 2
Best Gross - Annette Maw (Methven) 58
Best Net - Chun Xiang (Russley) 36
Best Stableford - Linda Downes (Russley) 16 pts
Men
Best Gross - Bill Harrison (Pegasus) 42
Best Net - John Evans (Amberley) 35
Best Stableford - Ron Kemp (Amberley) 16 pts
