Last night at The Elmwood Trading Co. in Wairakei Road Neville Bamford (Harewood) and Giles Beal (Russley) were presented as joint winners of the Canterbury Golf Administrator of the Year award. They are pictured here with sponsor and owner/operator of The Elmwood Trading Co. Marty Fuller.
The judges were unable to separate the pair with both making valuable contributions to their clubs over the last year. Giles, in his role as General Manager, was an integral part of the success of Russley's achievement as the 2021 Golf New Zealand Club of the Year. For Neville, this is the third year in a row he has won the award and reflects another "above and beyond" effort as General Manager of Harewood Golf Club. The club had another record year and Neville also contributed to regional activities by being on the Organsing Committee for the 2021 Canterbury Golf Club Forum, and also nationally as a Board Member of the Golf Managers Association of NZ.
