The CGI Executive has made a decision to appoint Blair Minton into the new role of General Manager – Pathways and Performance. This new role will be the senior employment position within Canterbury Golf and will report directly to the Executive. Blair will be responsible for the oversight of the day-to-day operations and delivery of the participation, club support, and competition golf aspects of the organisation. The Executive has made a decision to outsource the Financial Administration and Commercial relationship roles and would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank Mike Godinet for the work that he has done as our Acting GM. In the meantime, Mike will continue to support CGI on a contract basis through the Commercial relationship role.
The roles of Mike Millward (Golf Operations & Support) and Catherine Palmer (Participation Coordinator) will continue as normal, reporting to the General Manager. It is planned that in time an additional participation-based role will be employed by Canterbury Golf on a part-time basis to further support both Canterbury Golf’s and clubs’ delivery.
New General Manager – Pathways and Performance Blair Minton says “I am very proud to be assuming the senior leadership of Canterbury Golf, a historic and often leading golf association. I look forward to both leading the organisation and supporting its great people while additionally continuing to strive towards growing our game through appropriate pathways and opportunities for engagement from beginner to performance golf.”
