Canterbury Golf Service Awards

Canterbury Golf is fortunate to have many volunteers that contribute to the organisation. This year three Canterbury Golf Service Awards have been presented.

Kevin Moyle
Kevin received his service award for the valuable contribution he has made as the Canterbury Men's Masters Manager. Kevin has managed the team for five consecutive years from 2015-2019 and is held in high respect by the players. The Men's Masters team have performed very well during this time finishing runners up in 2019.

Pip Deans
Pip received her service award for her contribution to both the Canterbury Golf Executive Committee and Age Group Committee. Pip has been on the Executive Committee since 2015 and the Age Group Committee from 2019 and currently still is a valuable member of both these committees. Pip is a key part of the team working to increase participation with the Futures Canterbury hubs and as the Delivery Coordinator for the Selwyn Hub can be found most weekends out on the golf course with young people and families working to achieve the goals of Futures Canterbury. 

Kate Johnstone
Kate received her Service Award in 2016 and is now awarded the Distinguished Service Award in 2020. Kate was the Canterbury Women's Team Manager from 2012-2016 which included the team winning the NZ Women's Interprovincial in 2015, the first time in 28 years. Kate is also on the Canterbury Golf Executive Committee, a position she has held since 2014 and she is currently in the Vice President role. Kate also serves on the Canterbury Women’s Committee since 2016 and has also been on the Canterbury Women’s Course Rating Committee.
