It is with pleasure that we announce the addition of Catherine Bell to the team at Canterbury Golf as maternity cover for Jocelyn Blackmore.
Catherine will be continuing in the full-time role of Participation Coordinator that was created due to the phenomenal growth and increased focus on work fostering participation in golf, including overseeing our very successful Futures Canterbury programme.
Catherine will be well known to most in the golfing community, bringing to the position a wealth of golf experience having played since a young age, playing many years of Pollock Cup and representing the Canterbury Senior Women’s Team, and being part of New Zealand development squads and teams.
Her work experience includes being a Pro Shop Assistant, SNAG/Golf in Schools Instructor, First Tee coach, and volunteer club coach. She has also had administrative/office experience working for an accounting firm.
Jocelyn goes on leave on 26 August and Catherine will start work on Monday 5 September.
It goes without saying how much we will miss Joss and we hope she will be back in some capacity in the New Year. We look forward to Catherine starting and getting stuck into the many participation initiatives being offered by Canterbury Golf.
