The final round of Canterbury Central Master's Interclub was played at Ellesmere Golf Club yesterday in very warm conditions and the course in great order.
Charteris Bay who had been in good form all competition, just dropping one match to Lincoln, defeated Tai Tapu 5-4 in their final match to win the competition. They were three points clear of their nearest rival Weedons Black who finished second, edging Lincoln on games won.
The Charteris Bay team from left are Paul Sullivan, Rob Phillips, Warren Sheddan, John Bickley, Wayne Roden and Ric Hyden.
Honours and the trophy for the best individual performance in the competition was shared by Charteris Bay's John Bickley (left) and Weedon Black's Clarke Vincent who were both unbeaten over the seven rounds.
