Charteris Bay played their final Boyle Cup Challenge for 2019 against Greendale yesterday in warm sunny conditions, finishing the season on a high with a 5-0 win.
Other successful challenges this year were against Harewood 4-1, Avondale 3.5-1.5, Amberley 5-0, Everglades 5-0 and Hanmer Springs, winning by default.
The Charteris Bay ladies have now held the Boyle Cup since April 2018, when ironically they defeated yesterday's opposition Greendale, and have since defended the trophy eleven times on their home course.
The trophy can now safely be displayed in the club's trophy cabinet until April next year when they will accept six new challenges from Canterbury clubs.
