On a cold day at Waimairi Beach with a few brief showers, some good scores were recorded and many matches were fought out to the last hole.
From a 6-0 loss last week, Weedons rebounded with a full strength team with wins to Deanna Matthews, Di Kay and Vicki Ward at the bottom of the order while Nicky Muir had a hard earned half with Kim Moggach to narrowly defeat Waitikiri 3.5 to 2.5. Naomi Wallace and Cheryl Kemp had wins for Waitikiri.
Pegasus showed continuing good form in defeating Christchurch 3.5 to 2.5 in some very close matches. At the top of the order Hillary O'Connor and Catherine Bell battled hard for their halves while Rion Ishizawa, Jessica Crosbie and Bobbi Oliver registered wins for Pegasus and Maria Sung Lee and Kate Shier having wins for Christchurch.
Russley's Juliana Hung, back from her travels to St Andrews, Scotland was held to a half in her match with Catherine Knight of Harewood. However with three halves a piece including Liz Warren against Maddie May and Julie Jones' match with Jasmine Clancy, it was the wins of Debbie Scott and Lynn Brand that gave the overall team win to Harewood 3.5 to 2.5.
