A windy day at Waitikiri presented challenging conditions, but did not deter some players who returned excellent results for their teams. With one round to go, Pegasus has gone to top of the table with a two point lead following the 6-0 defeat of Christchurch. Decisive wins by Momoka Kobori, Deanna Matthews and Amy Weng spearheaded the Pegasus victory.
With Waitikiri's players number four, five and six securing early wins over Harewood, the final result hinged on the top three matches where Harewood came home with three more wins to tie up the round for a half at three matches apiece.
In a close encounter with Clearwater the Russley team narrowly won by the close margin of 3.5 to 2.5.
In second place on the points table, Christchurch is one point ahead of Russley in third place. Both teams will be keen to win their next rounds to secure a place in the final on 8 November.
