The Final round of Simon Cup was played at Christchurch Golf Club yesterday in warm, windy conditions and the course in great order. Teams were vying for Semi-Final spots on 1 November at Coringa Golf Club, and the Roy Mitchell Salver was also on the line for the best performed player over the past nine rounds.
Christchurch will play Avondale and Russley will play Waitikiri to decide who will meet in the Simon Cup Final on Finals Day, 8 November at Waitikiri Golf Club.
Avondale's Allen Goodman, pictured right with Simon Cup Convenor David Silk was the winner of the Roy Mitchell Salver, remaining unbeaten with a perfect eight wins from eight games.
