The Final of 9 Hole Interclub between Templeton and Rangiora 1 was played at Russley Golf Club yesterday in very drizzly, cold conditions. While it was touch and go as to whether the 9 Hole Finals Day would proceed due to the wet condition of the course, they received the green light and all the teams supporting the Finalists braved the wintery conditions.
It was Templeton who made hstory for the club winning the 9 Hole Interclub for the first time handling the challenging conditions best, with Viv O'Dea, Chris Whiteside, Pam Menzies and Gaye Harry combining well to score 55 stableford points and defeat Rangiora 1's Stephen Bell, Colleen White, Sarah Rutherford and Pat Roberts who scored a total of 40 points.
