The Annual Town vs Country fixture was played at Hororata on Sunday in perfect spring weather conditions and the course in superb order.
The Senior Men morning foursomes were all square at 3-3, however in the afternoon singles Town proved too strong winning 8.5-3.5 to win 11.5-6.5 overall.
In the Men's Masters, Town held a slender lead after the morning foursomes 2.5-1.5 and managed to retain their advantage into the afternoon singles, despite some close matches, to win the singles 4.5-3.5 and defeat Country 7-5 overall.
The Junior Boy's also fought out some tight matches with Town edging Country in the foursomes 1.5-.5 and finishing strongly in the singles 3.5-.5 to defeat Country 5-1 overall.
The Hororata club were great hosts, with all players enjoying the opportunity to play on the course, and for a number of players having their first look at the course, were very impressed.
