The Canterbury Women's 4's and 6's Interclub Finals were held at Templeton Golf Club on Monday in gloomy, cold conditions with the course in great order.
The 4's Interclub Final saw Lincoln and Waimairi Beach who finished third and fourth respectively in round robin play matched against each other.
After the teams couldn't be separated at the end of 18 holes with wins for Lincoln's Heather Templeton and Lois Anderson and Waimairi Beach's Julia Greig and Lesley Hart, it was Lincoln's Heather Templeton who won the sudden death play-off and got her Lincoln team pictured above of, from left Nancy Moroney, Jan Latham, Sally Newton, Heather Templeton, Lois Anderson and Heather Trott (Absent Joy Bell) across the line for the all important win.
The 6's Final was between Clearwater and McLeans Island who finished in that order in Zone 1 after round-robin play.
Clearwater again managed to get the upper hand against McLeans Island, as they did in the penultimate round-robin match defeating McLeans Island 4-2.
As expected it was a tight battle with two matches going down to the wire while another finished on the 17th. For Clearwater Philippa Cooke, Sandra Howat, Sandy Stewart and Pam Bowden had wins, while Judy Smith and Haley Evans had wins for McLeans Island.
